This is the lake to choose for a more mellow day's fishing. Built by the Victorians in 1860, set in parkland under Nutfield Priory and well protected by mature trees it has a charm and atmosphere all of its own.
The water is between 3 and 4ft deep with two islands. Individuals' fishing has produced better results than matches with good bags.
